Abstract

A linear programming model was applied to the Agricultural Farm of Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh to obtain the optimal allocation of resources and thus to maximize profit. The resources used in the LP model were land draft power, animal power, Irrigation water & fertilizer. The data of three consecutive year's of the farm were used to demonstrate the potentiality of optimization and it yields the higher return as compared with the actual return from the farm.
